One benefit for the modern day punter is that he or she is faced with a plethora of choice.
Take Saturday afternoon metropolitan race meetings for instance, does the punter just bet solely with Tattsbet,
accepting whatever final dividend is declared, or does he or she accept the offer of some of the corporates
to back their choice on a “best of three totes basis”, or a “best of three totes
or starting price” basis, or a “top fluc” basis, or another offer that promises the
punter “better than the best of three totes” - and so on and so forth - the upshot of which
is that the punter who regularly only bets with Tattsbet, or via Tattsbet telephone betting, will, in the
majority of cases, be costing themselves money if they back a winner? Obviously if their selection doesn’t
win the race, it becomes irrelevant where they backed the horse.
From an exotics perspective, it is simply a no brainer that if a punter can secure a “best of two totes” payout,
should their selections be successful that he or she will, on the balance of probability, be better off than if he or she
bets just with Tattsbet, as there are invariably large discrepancies across the various TAB’s dividends in exotics around Australia.
Listed below on each thread is a story I have penned about Tattsbet during 2011.
The first of these was written on 1 June 2011, the last on 15/12/11. It is my considered opinion that Tattsbet has had plenty of time to address the issues
raised in those articles and to do something constructive on one, or all of the points raised,
yet they have chosen to do nothing. To improve the lot of punters, doing nothing is not an option as far as
I am concerned and I will continue to monitor Tattsbet’s action and/or inaction across the spectrum of
deficiencies I have noted below and report back to website readers on any positive improvements they have made,
or negatives that they could improve on, for their supposed valued client – namely the punter.
