A Wyong two-year-old maiden could be a defining moment for leading sire Snitzel.

His daughter Madonnica runs in Tuesday’s 1100m-race, and if she wins, she will give Snitzel a record 31 individual juvenile winners for the season.

As he did last year, Snitzel has equalled Without Fear’s mark established in 1975/76 with 28 two-year-old winners in Australia, one in New Zealand and one in South Africa.

The Arrowfield stallion is also leading the general sires lists in both prize money and number of winners.
