RACE 4                      NO.9   JAUNTY

JAUNTY has only raced twice finishing second both times. She was narrowly beaten last start with 59kg on a heavy track over 1400m so today with three kilos less on a far drier track and up to the mile are the keys I think to her success. It’s obviously tougher as she takes on the boys today but to my eye she looks a very promising filly.

RACE 6                      NO.8   EL VENETIAN

EL VENETIAN will lead and hopefully hold the favourite Calypso Bay and others at bay in the run to the line. The mile is without doubt the query but she looks to get control today and on a soft 5 track rather than the heavy at his last start will help get home first. Rachel King is riding particularly well especially front the front.

RACE 7                      NO.2   COSMIC ENGINE

Very rarely do I say I don’t know where he will be in the run but I think he will win.

That said Hugh Bowman is the man doing the steering so I’m happy to go with him and say COSMIC ENGINE will put us punters further in front in the last. Cosmic Engine resumed after being gelded and was outstanding running down Suncraze at Newcastle with a big gap to third. A repeat of that run and I think he gets the job done again.
