ROSEHILL
Race 6 No.4 HETTY HEIGHTS
HETTY HEIGHTS looks the value for me in race six at Rosehill for fillies and mares. She is first up off the back of a very good trial at Gosford over 1000m albeit on a heavy track and nothing was really let run. She has won two from first up and I think finds a race where the tempo should suit with Memes, Upscale, Nudierudie, Fickle Folly & magic Alibi all holding a forward position. The sting out of the track is an added bonus as she really excels on tracks with the sting out of them.
With $7.5 win bet now and $2.5 place freely available I think it’s a good gamble
Race 7 Have a read and work out your play on the CIVIC Stakes 1350m + VALUE$$
The feature race of the Rosehill program is the listed Civic Stakes over 1350m.
I think there are four leading chances being Gold Symphony ($7.5), Shiraz ($8), Slightly Sweet ($21) and Sir Bacchus (4).
GOLD SYMPHONY is coming back from the group 1 Stradbroke where his run was outstanding coming from a mile back to beaten less than three lengths.
SHIRAZ gets back to Rosehill where he raced eight times for four wins and two minors and is third up having won two from five. Back in January he finished ¾ length in front of Gold Symphony when giving him 4kgs.
SLIGHTLY SWEET draws soft, was on the heels of the placegetters last time when steadied late and will relish a strong tempo and is huge odds.
SIR BACCHUS didn’t have the best of luck last start when charging late to just miss and looks in good order. Things that concern me considering he is favourite are he hasn’t won past 1200m and if the track is near heavy it dulls his sprint. Still he must be respected from the Waller yard.

CAULFIELD
Race 2 No.4 Royal Orders
The favourite Kiwia looks the hardest to beat having just been pipped by our top pick ROYAL ORDER last start over this trip at Flemington. Royal Orders will meet Kiwia 2 ½kgs worse at the weights but on the flip side Royal Order has drawn a good gate this time and I expect will settle a lot closer especially with the addition of blinkers for the first time. I am confident the Flemington race where these two ran the quinella is the right form line for this race. Jake Bayliss remains the rider for Mick Kent.
Currently around the $4.40 bet now

SUNSHINE COAST
Race 1 No.2 Badajoz
BADAJOZ has been costly for us punters both runs this campaign having started favourite but I am pinning my hopes on getting the cash back tomorrow in the first at the Sunshine Coast. Prepared by Darren Beadman for Godolphin this son of Commands has won three times in his 16 career starts with all of them over 1100m. Tomorrow’s event is over the flying 1000m and incredibly he has never competed over the trip. There looks a good tempo as you’d imagine and I think the Sydney form line is superior and will kick us off on the front foot.
Currently around the $3.00 bet now
Good luck and happy punting!!!
