Fabvier can increase her value

Well bred mare Fabvier will tick off another box in her can-do list if she wins at Doomben.

Fabvier, who is raced by Segenhoe Stud and the China Horse Club, will be aiming for her third straight win in the Stanton Meinert Accountants Hcp (1200m).

Fabvier is bred in the purple being by champion sire Fastnet Rock out of the stakes-winning mare Swiss Rose.

She won a Goulburn maiden when trained by John Thompson in Sydney but was sent north to Gold Coast trainer Toby Edmonds in May.

She has had four starts for Edmonds winning twice and running second in the other two.

“She is obviously going to be a valuable broodmare and her owners were keen to win another race with her which we have done,” Edmonds said.

“They also wanted to win a metropolitan race which she has done twice at the mid-weeks. Now we would like to get them a Saturday metropolitan win and maybe we can then look for some black-type.”

Jeff Lloyd has ridden the mare at her past two starts but he is under suspension and Jim Byrne will take over on Saturday.
