TAMARACK is a lightly raced 4yo with four starts thus far in his career recording one win. He is first up today and although he will be better suited over slightly further he has trialled twice leading into this assignment. Both trials were over the short 806m and 790m so don’t get concerned he finished at the back. There should be good speed here as Dynamic Bid is a free rolling type which should give Kerrin McEvoy room to wind Tamarack up and charge over them.

GREY STORM has raced twice on heavy surfaces winning one and finishing second in the other. The best part of her win two starts ago on a heavy track at Wagga was the ease in which she found her gears in the final 250m. She will take plenty of holding out here on a very heavy track.

Race 5             No.4    Vee Eight

VEE EIGHT will only face three opponents but what I think is amazing is that black odds are available. He is by Commands a noted wet track sire and I think this is a far easier assignment than the TAB Highway race at Randwick last start. The in-form Christian Reith will do the steering and should have him racing handy throughout.
