It looks a classic two horse race between my selection SMARTEDGE from the Snowden camp and GOLD STANDARD prepared by Gai Waterhouse.

Gold Standard is expected to roll forward and likely take up the front running position. I am also expecting with the engagement of Blake Shinn aboard Smartedge that he will have the Snowden trained runner right on his hammer. On debut Smartedge was nailed in the final bound by the highly touted D’argento who was then able to win at its next start in Saturday grade. I am banking on Smartedge having the better acceleration than Gold Standard when they straight for home.
