It maps and looks a perfect race for 6 IMPREGNABLE. I expect 1 MR HENNESSY to lead the fence with 6 IMPREGNABLE to work up outside the leader and be too good. The scratching of MISHANI EL LOBO who was also an acceptor in Race 2, leaves 6 IMPREGNABLE to become clear on top selection and WIN bet.

If 17 MISHANI EL LOBO decides to race in this, it’s clear top pick and the best of the day. Just didn’t run out a strong 1200m, when chasing a hot speed. Back to the 1050m and from an inside gate, he maps to get the perfect run in transit. The best pointer to his chances was 2 back when beating home OINK, who has since franked the form.

3 SHEISWHATSHEIS & 8 PINDAN PEARL look the leading chances here. Expect 3 SHEISWHATSHEIS to work to the front, although I expect she may have to work a little harder to find the top here. If the speed is a little more genuine, 8 PINDAN PEARL will get her chance to run down her stable mate. They ran the quinella last time they met, but I think 8 PINDAN PEARL can turn the tables here.

2 FLAMBOYER has found a suitable race to get back on the winner’s list. He was very competitive in listed level at this trip in the Eyeliner Stakes, when he led and almost pinched the race. He should lead here, and a repeat of that effort would have him winning.

3 DEVIL HAWK stormed back into the winner’s circle with a cracking win at this course and distance last start. This former Group 3 winner looks to have reached peak fitness now and can go right on with it. He does raise 5kg here to 59.5kg, but he has carried weight and raced well in the past. He has the ability to push forward to offset the wide gate and looks hard to beat.

6 NATURAL BLACK looks to have found the right race here, to break back onto the winner’s list. Not far away in a slick last 600m the last start, when making up good ground behind Meet and Greet. From barrier 2, a clean get away will have to settle a pair closer this time, and he will be hard to hold out.

Going for the value here in 12 TRIVINDER at the double figures odds. He led and raced well, but was no match for Stella Ombra & Tumbler last time, which reads really well for this. He maps as the first horse to find the fence, so he can either lead or box seat. Would prefer to see him bowling along in front making his own luck, and giving them something to catch. I have a slight query on the favorite HAVASAY, who will need luck from a very sticky gate. 16 ORADONNA is a winning chance, I can entertain something small the win on it at double figures.

Race 9
Really competitive race to finish the day, with a number of the leading hopes drawn out wide. 6 MISHANI SLEUTH is one drawn poor, but he doesn’t have to bustle early to get on the speed. I think the field will spread out a little in the first 500m, allowing B Stewart to slot him into the running line with cover. There looks to be enough early speed to allow the back markers to get into the finish. 14 MANIAS maps to get the best run of those drawn inside, and with luck is a very good chance.
