10 BEAUDACIOUS comes here second up of a nice first up run. Last preparation she chased home the very smart Our Beebee in all 3 of her runs. She maps to get a nice run 1 off the fence midfield, and with a solid tempo up front, she can get home over the top of these late.

5 HAVASAY has been somewhat of a revelation this preparation, stringing 3 wins together. He finds himself in Open Company for the first time, but to be fair it’s a very plain Open company race. While the price is too prohibitive to bet, he looks the winner.

5 INGEEGOODBE is going as good as ever, and he brings a different form line to the race here. While it is his first go at 2200m here, he put the writing on the wall with a strong win over 2040m last time out. He was strong through the line that day and a repeat performance will see him right in the mix.

6 ORADONNA maps the get the perfect run behind Dee Nine Elle who looks the leader, with Plucky Girl on her outside. 6 ORADONNA has been very consistent, and with the nice draw and a touch of luck, she gets her chance to break back into the winner’s circle.

15 KHALAMA had a few excuses last start, where she pulled up with respiratory issues. Her two previous runs before that were super, she was able to settle just off the speed and run over the leaders late. There looks to be good speed engaged here, which should enable Jim Byrne to have 15 KHALAMA in a striking position on straightening for home. With a touch of luck, she will again steam home over the top to win.

I think the Toby Edmonds trained mare 9 AHNDRAS has a touch of class, and can over come to the wide gate to score here. Last preparation she strung 3 wins in succession, before failing at her first go at 2000m. She trailed well before a solid first up run, in which she will have taken fitness benefit from. Her best form will have her beating this field today.

I think the Edmonds / Lloyd combination can deliver a knock out blow here with 7 ONE INCH PUNCH. He had the benefit of 4 trials before resuming over 1350m last starts when running an eye catching third behind OINK. He has a good enough fitness base to step to the mile here, and he brings a solid second up the record (4 starts 2 wins 1 second). The speed from 4 SHEISWHATSHEIS should ensure 7 ONE INCH PUNCH can slide into a spot in the first 4, and be very hard to hold out.

8 I AM IMPINGE will hopefully round out a big day for Toby Edmonds and the team. He was no doubt the eye catching run the last start, when motoring home late behind Lets Party Marty, and leaving Whypeeo and Snitzetc in his wake. The step to 1350m looks suitable, and the wide draw is no concern as I see him settling back and storming home late.

Thinking, hoping and wishing to be in front coming into the last. While I’m not knocking the horse, I just think the favorite has a very ordinary gate to contend with here, and for that reason, I’m happy to work around it. I’m keen to play 4 SABKHAT here at an Each Way price. He was only 1.7L behind the favorite MANAIS the last start when resuming from a spell. He comes here fitter second up, has a good second up the record (6 starts 2 wins 2 seconds) and meets the favorite 2.5kg better at the weights. From the inside gate, he should be right on speed and be hard to beat.
