Tricky race to kick start the day but I’ve decided to bet around the favourite 1 CUBA.
7 AONAIR has placed at both career runs in town and gets the blinkers today plus a step up in the distance which should suit. 6 FURLANA should get a perfect run on-pace and is sure to strip fitter following one run back from a spell. 8 LONGMU was terrific first up when narrowly beaten by Molten who was able to win yesterday beating the highly touted Floki. 1 CUBA gets blinkers and drops sharply in grade so must be respected.

Looks another tricky assignment so looking for a little value with 9 READYCATGO who had trialled well leading into her debut before having little luck early before finding the line fairly. That run is sure to have benefitted the filly and she looks capable of running well. 8 PALMATEER is on debut following two good trials. She showed the good speed at her first trial before being ridden quieter at her next outing. 4 OMBUDSMAN will likely roll forward and will give some cheek with Bowman on board. The fav 5 OUR MANTRA gets gate one and has trialled solidly leading into this run.

The scratching’s changed this race dramatically with the short priced fav 3 I Am Serious coming out. 5 SEPOY ACHEVA was solid enough for this race last Wednesday when third behind Vienna Romance. 1 ALLUVION drops sharply in grade but on the flip side goes up 5 ½ kgs plus the blinkers have come off. 2 CANBERRA is rock hard fit and has Bowman on board.

1 REALISE POTENTIAL was good here two weeks ago when a close second to Nictock and with the addition of blinkers today he is sure to hard to hold out. 7 REBEL MISS looks the main danger coming here off a three week freshen up. The other hopes look to be 3 GADFLY and 8 PHOEBE’S LASS.

4 MEMENTO is first up off two solid trials with the only question being has she returned as good as a 3yo as she was at two. On debut here at Warwick Farm, she turned in a blinder when charged home behind 1 JESSAMIN who she clashes with again here. Jessamin hasn’t raced since winning that debut run but did trial well two weeks back. 3 INTRINSIC is favourite and must be respected having shown very good ability at her two career runs. Bowman goes on board and from a good gate should race handily.

4 SOCIAL ELEMENT looks a progressive stayer as he relished the 2000m of his latest run winning in strong fashion. Gai Waterhouse loves a hard tough stayer and this bloke looks to fit the profile. 9 QUEEN OF HEIGHTS was found wanting late last start when made to work so maybe ridden a little more conservative here and he can chime in late. The chances don’t finish there but the next in my eye are 2 EXOTERIC and 7 BON EQUUS.

13 REGENT is a short priced fav and clearly the one to beat according to the bookies and punters. He looks a promising 3yo and turns up here off two good trials and has no weight on his back but at almost even money against some tough old campaigners it doesn’t interest me. I will be playing exotics with 1, 2, 4, 7, 9, 11 & 13.
BET: Cheer wide with the third leg of the quadrella

11 Arigold looks the value here in the last especially from gate one following two very good runs of late including a last start second here behind Sir Barb. Senior rider Tim Clark takes over and if he can hold a good spot in the first four or five he is sure to give a good sight. 4 ROYAL NAVY was disappointing first up here a fortnight ago but with a slight drop in grade and that run under his belt, he must be respected.
