Race 1

3 – 5 – 6 – 7

3 Kaonic debuted with big raps and although beaten by his stablemate Sparky Lad his run was full of merit and is sure to have brought him on. The lack of speed is a little worry but the extra journey and good gate should offset that. I think he will start the day on a positive for us. Waller has two of the main dangers in 5 Smiling Manolito who found the line hard at Newcastle on debut and 7 Wild About Her who was disappointing last start but is better than that.

Race 2

3 – 4- 5 – 1

Looks a tricky race on paper but I have settled on 3 Carluca who I thought was terrific last start behind Lead Choreographer when showed good fight when battling on for second. This is no harder so I am sure he will battle away and be competitive. 4 Rogue Missile is another who was good last start albeit at Hawkesbury but I think behind a progressive horse in Savapinski. He will get a soft run from the draw. 5 Intueri turns up here off a five week break and jumps from 1200m to today’s 1550m but if he strikes his best he sis sure to be prominent. Tricky race on paper so playing small with the quinella.

Race 3

2 – 8 – 5 – 1

2 Solar Patch has the ability to settle on-pace or rearward and sprint and that will be a handy asset in a race where the speed map is up in the air. He rocks up here off a three week freshen up and goes up a furlong to 1200m which should aid his chances. 8 Bella Success has been very good in all her three starts this preparation and just needs a touch of luck from the draw to figure. 5 Za Zi Ba dropped in grade and got the job done at Kembla when leading so expect her to settle handy and play a role again.

Race 4

3 – 4 – 5 – 2

3 Token Of Love is racing in career best form and been a tad unlucky not have won a couple in the city in recent runs. Her latest three runs here over today’s journey have resulted in three placings and from gate one today I think she take the sit on the back of 4 History Repeats and be too good late. History Repeats looks the biggest threat coming off a strong win at Hawkesbury when able to lead and dictate.

Race 5

3 – 4 – 1 – 5

3 Marsupial was outstanding first up when a closing second to Tango Rain over 1100m and then was a bit keen and flat at the same time second up over the 1100m again when finishing midfield behind stablemate Viridine. The step up to 1250m here and I think an easier assignment should see the 3yo colt bounce back into the winners circle. 4 Stonebrook is two from two the latest in good fashion at Kembla when dominant from the jump. Expect him to give the 3yo something to chase.

Race 6

11 – 1 – 5 – 3

This looks a perfect race for 11 Braces to finally get back into the winners circle as he finds a race with good speed and following a good run fresh off a three week break he should be ready to fire especially with the increase in distance. 1 Estikhraaj is flying and has recorded two wins and five placings on today’s tracks and distance. He has a big weight but has proven that he is capable of handling them.

Race 7

3 – 5 – 8 – 1

With the scratching of his stablemate 3 Dissolute will be a clear favourite and looks very hard to beat coming off a solid effort first up when third behind Realise Potential at Warwick Farm. From an ideal barrier and a solid tempo he should get a perfect run and be hard to hold out. A little concern is her is 0 from 3 second up and he actually hasn’t even finished in the placings. 5 White Moss really took a big step last preparation and must be given thought but he will appreciate a little further than today’s race. 8 Best Guess has early speed and is sure to race handy and has trialled well so looks a player but his worry is he usually likes the sting out of the track.

1 – 5 – 9 – 3

Keen to play here as I am hoping there are only two winning chances. 5 Slow Burn is favourite coming here off two very good trials and more raps on her than a Xmas present. She is a quality mare and is sure to take plenty of beating. 1 Missile Coda I think will give her a run for the money especially if she can bounce from the lids like she did here two runs back when giving nothing else a chance. I thought she was rode with a little much hesitation last start but if allowed to run look out. The blow outs to these two I think can only be 9 Acqume and 3 Vienna Romance.
