Three-year-old Ace High has confirmed his rating as a stayer of promise with a front-running win in the Group One Spring Champion Stakes.

In a replica of his Gloaming Stakes win, the David Payne-trained colt made his own tempo under Tye Angland before holding off Tangled with Sully taking the minor placing.

Ace High firmed in betting for the Victoria Derby to be run at Flemington on November 4.
