Racing at Armidale on the NSW Tablelands has been called of because of surface water on the track after heavy rain overnight.

Monday’s postponement comes a day after the last four races at Coonamble in the Central West of the state had to be abandoned because of continuous rain during the afternoon.

After weeks of dry weather, rain is also expected in the lead-up to Saturday’s Randwick meeting featuring the $10 million Everest.
