Snowy Clark has Sale covered

SALE NOVEMBER 15

What an absolutely lacklustre meeting with only 59 acceptors before 10 scratchings leaving the last two legs of the quaddie with just 4 and 5 runners and we have two maidens, 4 BM64s and two BM70’s for the punters to play with but small fields with little depth, anyway there are eight winners on a good track with the rail 4m from the last meeting (true).

BEST BET: CLUB TROPICANA Race 7#3

BEST VALUE: CATALYST FIRE Race 6#4

RACE 1: 1-2-3-4

There are better things to do than bet here. Tipping THE ULTIMATUM who didn’t have all good luck at Bendigo and gets a slight gear change here that may help. SOLAS is racing as well as any of these, BARACHINO comes off a Maiden win at its 16th start which tells you something.

SUGGESTED: Try a game of Cribbage but if you must this is no THE ULTIMATUM to you.

Race 2: 2-1-3-4

At least these have some potential upside and going POET’S CORNER off passable Bendigo run after fresh maiden win. COLUMBIA is hovering still in this grade – was good at Seymour, missed some luck at Echuca. BOOKBUILD drops away in class from The Valley.

SUGGESTED: Stick with POET’S CORNER.

Race 3: 7-5-2-6

Only two winning hopes here and not surprised if major market push comes for WHISTLER BOWL on debut off enough public jumpouts and trials showing ability to win this. But fit RIPPLEBROOK brings good experience to make sure it’s no easy task, didn’t have much luck at vital stage last time either. Shock if anything else figures.

SUGGESTED: Going with the experience of RIPPLEBROOK.

Race 4: 10-4-3-11

Looks the right race for PERSIAN EMPIRE – like the trainer/jockey combo and good at Seymour. STATELY BOY is struggling to win, had chance Kilmore but is a player here. STASIO has a gear change, MISS CONSPIRACY got too far back in small field Kilmore.

SUGGESTED: Looks race for PERSIAN EMPIRE

Race 5: 2-1-4-5

All bar the picnic horse Guadalcanal could win but leaning WENER who didn’t have best luck resuming Mornington and stats say won 2nd up in debut campaign (not that it convinces me much). FIERCE COMMAND is clear top rater in race for a career reason but is he going well enough? ROSEBERRY STREET is favourite, been teasing but this is winnable race.

SUGGESTED: Hopefully WENER is the winner.

Race 6: 4-5-2-3

Going with the Brunton strike rate in Victoria and that’s a bit of value with CATALYST FIRE here off good building Tassie form. Also respecting the placement of Freedman runner DANCING HARE, scratched tougher weekend assignment for this. STORMY SHORE was pretty good at the Valley, ditto TRANQUIL MISS at Flemington.

SUGGESTED: Value bet CATALYST FIRE

Race 7: 3-2-4-8

Looks ideal for CLUB TROPICANA from the very much inform Ellerton/Zahra stable after toughing it out resuming with wide run. That shouldn’t happen here in just a 4 horse race. RED BELLE won its maiden on soft ground but this is a good step for it.

SUGGESTED: Clearly CLUB TROPICANA.

Race 8: 3-5-4-7

Like RUTH’S BOY on the quick back-up from Friday night. GAUTENG GAL is maintaining form and a serious challenger. TELL THE TRUTH can be a player fresh.

SUGGESTED: Like RUTH’S BOY
