The Tin Man withdrawn from HK Sprint

Diamond Jubilee Stakes winner The Tin Man has been withdrawn from the International Sprint in Hong Kong because of a temperature.

HKJC stewards said James Fanshawe-trained gelding had presented with a fever after arriving from England and was taken out on Tuesday.

The Tin Man’s absence reduces the number of overseas competitors in the Sprint to five, two from France, two from Japan and one from the United States.

There are no Australian horses at the International meeting with new quarantine restrictions meaning they would have to spend an extended time in another country before returning home.
