WARWICK FARM

WEDNESDAY 6 DECEMBER

TRACK:     SLOW 7   (5.64)                       RAIL:    +5m 1000m to W/P, +3m remainder

BEST BET:        Race 1             No.7    CHAIN OF FOOLS

NEXT BEST:     Race 5             No.5    WINE BUSH

Race 1

7 – 6 – 5 – 4

CHAIN OF FOOLS should bounce and find the front quickly and I think be very hard to run down. She finally broke her maiden at the seventh attempt last start at Goulburn in easy fashion after being forced to work a little early. She is by More Than Ready so the wet track shouldn’t hinder the chances.

Race 2

1 – 2 – 3 – 7

Without doing the form the market would suggest there are three winning chances being the top three on the page. Highjacker is on debut but has trialled well and is sure to be good late. Scream Park looks to get the advantage on-pace as he looks capable of cruising across and finding the front in a slowly run affair. BALEARIC comes through the same race as Scream Park where he finished just in front of him and I think if he gets going earlier enough he can do it again and be too strong late.

Race 3

7 – 2 – 5 – 1

I have nothing between Star Galaxy and POWER COMMAND who come through the same race at Canterbury but at the value the seven goes on top. Power Command was able to win second up last time and being by Commands I doubt the soft track will worry her. Gracefilly will likely be ridden more aggressive this time and look to find the front and if she does could take a power of running down.

Race 4

6 – 4 – 2 – 1

ALL CARISMA did a super job last start when beaten narrowly at Hawkesbury and with the scratching of Identic she could easily burn across and lead if not be handy and I think hard to run down. Timing will be stalking the speed and with the sting out of the track which she loves I’m sure she will be in the spoils. The top two are players and are sure to coming hard late.

Race 5

5 – 7 – 4 – 6

WINE BUSH has won once in 20 starts but he won’t get a better chance to get another win than today. He drops back from 2700m last start but with the soft track it will like more than the 2200m of today’s event. I’m getting worried even writing this but I promise this is the last chance. Cordero, Ashkannd and Shield wall will be there to pounce if Wine Bush refuses to hit the line.

Race 6

1 – 2 – 5 – 4

The top two PECANS and Kawaikini look the clear top picks for mine. Pecans is third up so should be cherry ripe and with only really Mollyfied or perhaps Tennessee Hussy with early speed Pecans should have no real dramas cruising across to find the front or settle on-pace. It looks a perfect race for the mare to progress from a provincial win to the city. Kawaikini was very good winning at Canterbury last start and must be seen as a player here but will likely need a touch of luck from gate one and being three back the fence.

Race 7

4 – 7 – 10 – 11

This race has been throw open with a few key scratching that included the two top picks in the market The Avenger and Pipeline. I’ve gone for a little value at double figure odds in SPEED HERO who was solid enough first at Canterbury in a tougher race. He will get back but if he gets his chance to wind up he will be coming hard. Lord Macau will press forward and look to make it two wins on the trot. Tivoli Street has been solid in both runs this preparation and is sure to be in the spoils somewhere but he has loomed previously yet has only won once from his 11 career starts with four second placings. Atlantic Fox is the query runner who is stepping out for Chris Waller for the first time having previously been prepared by Jason Warren.
