Apprentice remains in induced coma

Apprentice Nyssa Burrells remains in an induced coma following surgery to relieve a bleed on her brain after a fall.

Burrells was injured when the horse she was riding in a jump-out at Warwick Farm on Friday fell and landed on top of her.

Racing NSW said her condition remained stable overnight and she would continue to be monitored closely at Liverpool Hospital.

Her family is by her bedside in good spirits.

Burrells has other injuries which will be assessed later.
