Toss of the coin as to which Waller runner is due for its turn to win. Difficult to split 1 XEBEC & 2 IRISH OPTIMISM, with a slight leaning toward 2 IRISH OPTIMISM who has a placing on the heavy and a slight weight pull on the stable mate.

3 IMPROVISE looks well placed here, and ready to win 3rd up. Last preparation when getting to this trip, she was 5.5L 7th behind LUVALUVA. Looks the hardest to beat.

Good race here with 3 main chances for mine. 1 MISHANI HUSTLER will have to overcome a wide gate but has the class. 7 FIRST CLASS MISS was an impressive first start winner, can get through the wet and is a hope. Like the run of 11 RED DOULTON last time, making good ground in the QTIS JEWEL, after casting a plate. I think 1 MISHANI HUSTLER can press forward and is the horse to beat.

Race 4
6 FINAL ZERO looks the leader and carries only 52.5kg here. She pulled up with cardiac arrhythmia last time but has trialed well since. Expecting her to be flying along in front and hard to beat.

2 SETOGA will handle the wet track and looks hardest to beat. He will get back and the inside draw may be a little tricky but has the class to overcome. 1 SISTA ACT must lead to show her best and proved that with a big win last time after getting beaten at Warwick at her previous start. 5 SUSURRI is also a leading hope, will need luck from the gate.

1 DAL CIELO brings the best form into the race, and on his best looks the winner. He was left in the gates when resuming but has trialed ok since. Should settle in the first few in running and looks hard to hold out.

14 RIVER RACER appeals here, will appreciate the soft track, drawn well and gets in with 52kg. She was impressive in Group and listed company last time out and has trialed well for this. 6 MOGADOR will be getting back and hitting the line, his chances will likely be influenced in how the track plays, as it’s been difficult to make ground here of late.

3 FORTENSKY will hopefully get an A grade ride from R FRAAD today and get the money. Didn’t enjoy the best run in transit last time, and still pulled ground off the winner and smart conveyance NICCANOVA. A clean beginning here and he’s the horse to beat. 7 AQUA VITE was good when resuming, and looks the main danger, although I think 3 FORTENSKY is a better horse.

I’ve been on 11 SEA THE SPARKLE a few times this prep and can’t drop off her off her last start effort. She had no luck and was a forgive run, she will appreciate the soft track and is a leading hope. 8 LYRICIST & 14 IL RICCIO look some hope also, both should get through the soft and race on speed.
