BEST BETS:

RACE 2                        NO.3    I ARIZE

These types of races don’t usually get me excited but I reckon by backing the winner it may sway me. I am going with the Jarrod Austin trained 4yo gelding I ARIZE who has only raced on four occasions recording three placings and I think although he has plenty of improvement to come in his career he will relish the 2100m and is capable of winning a few better races than this. From the good gate I imagine Josh Parr will put him in the gun spot early and hopefully he will record his maiden win. His seven opponents have started 81 times for obviously no wins and only 21 placings with two runners accounting for 17 of those placings.

RACE 4                        NO.15  MISS EARTH

First up this preparation MISS EARTH found the flying 1000m too sharp when the sprint went on in the final 500m before turning in a cracking run at Warwick Farm where she settled out the back in a race dominated by the on-pace runners. When balanced and given the chance to wind up she really attacked the line. There looks a genuine tempo here today and the extra 100m looks right up her alley and I expect her to be hard to hold out.
