Race 1
1400m maiden to kick off he day, with no real standouts here. 2 OUR RED DOG is very good at finding one better, sure to be in the finish but couldn’t back him. The stable mate 14 LACEY LYNX PACK can be an improver here, after finding the line well first up. 5 HEZ EXCEPTIONAL wasn’t far away this track and trip last time and is a winning hope.

Race 2
Small field but competitive race, with 2 CRUZE the one I want to be on. He hasn’t been far away in much tougher assignments than this, and a drop in class here really should see him winning.

Race 3
Really tough 2 year old race to line up here, so I’m looking for value in 5 PARKO. He was unsighted on debut when back in the field on settling, then was put away. He come back with a 2nd on a heavy track, and with the blinkers going on first time, expecting further improvement and he is a good each way hope.

Race 4
Looks to be an abundance of speed engaged here, which should ensure a strong tempo. 3 DAPPER ONE should get a nice run tucked in behind the speed here and will get her chance. She is a consistent type who rarely runs a bad race and looks a great chance here. 8 HOT GOSSIP is another who should settle back in the field and rattle home late, she’s a chance at big odds.

Race 5
Scratching’s have knocked the field around, leaving 3 SETOGA and 7 TE AMO as the only winning hopes. 3 SETOGA is coming back from Group 3 level and looks the obvious one here. He gets the perfect run in transit here and should win. 7 TE AMO is in good winning form and can run second.

Race 6
It’s been a long time since 5 EXOCET has raced in this class, and she looks the one here. She was good first up in listed grade at her first run in QLD, ands strips much fitter here for this. 6 GREAT GLENN is the interesting runner with the blinkers going on first time at his 25 race start, he could lead, run along and be the one to catch.

Race 7
Looks a race with only 2 winning hopes, 10 FIT FOR PURPOSE and 6 SHEZA LILY. 10 FIT FOR PURPOSE was an eye catcher last start, booming home from the back behind Divine Unicorn last start. He can settle slightly closer here from the good gate and looks the horse to beat. 6 SHEEZA LILY roared through her grades last prep, and looks a nice horse out to a trip, she may just find 10 FIT FOR PURPOSE a bit too sharp second up.

16 DAMN FINE was going to be my best each way of the day, but scratching’s have ruined the price. I’ve liked the way he has found the line in all three runs this preparation, and he looks ready to win. 1 REAL STING and 4 JUST AS LOYAL have the ability to fill the minors.
