GRAFTON- DAY TWO
CUP DAY
THURSDAY 12 JULY
TRACK: GOOD 4
BEST BETS:
RACE 1 NO.5 EVERARD
EVERARD resumes from a five month spell after having three runs at her first preparation all in city grade. All three runs were full of merit and came off the back of similar trials as to her two leading into this assignment first up. She will need a touch of luck from the gate but there looks good speed on paper which will hopefully enable her to find a spot before charging in the run home.

THURSDAY 12 JULY
TRACK: GOOD 4
BEST BETS:
RACE 4 NO.1 FLEETING STRYKE
FLEETING STRYKE has won three in career with two of those here over today’s distance of 1400m and on good tracks and from barrier one she looks the best bet on the day for me. She resumed first up at Randwick three weeks ago on an unsuitable heavy track and went terrific being beaten just on three lengths in a benchmark 80. She comes back to her home track and drops to a benchmark 68 admittedly she goes up six kilos. The danger and favourite is the expensive Spencer who doesn’t look that genuine winning one weak maiden so I am happy to stick with Fleeting Stryke.
