RACE 1                        NO.3                CARDIFF

This looks a hot 2yo race with several youngsters with good ability and bigger raps. I’m siding with the Gerald Ryan prepared Snitzel colt CARDIFF off the back of his two solid trial wins. He looked a little wayward last start but I loved the way he found gears when required. I have a healthy respect for Spaceboy and Tassort.

SMARTEDGE resumes off a four month break and one fitness trial over the short course. He gets James McDonald and has drawn a lovely barrier which should enable him to stalk what looks a nice tempo. He has raced well fresh at each of his previous preparations. At each way odds he looks a good gamble to my eye.

RACE 8                        NO.14              NAPOLEON SOLO    

With Chaussure coming out it leaves me thinking NAPOLEON SOLO with just 53kg on his back as a good each way bet. He didn’t win by a big margin last start but I was impressed when the job needed to be done he knuckled down and found what he required. He looks a nice 3yo with plenty of upside and with a good tempo expected here and an extra 100m from last start he will be coming hard in the run home.
