RACE 3 NO.2 DEVIL’S LAIR
DEVIL’S LAIR isn’t easy to catch but I am banking on a repeat effort from last start at Warwick Farm and that happens he will be hard to hold out here. Last start he did a little bit of work in the run and coming the turn the stablemate Miss Shanti had him cold but I was impressed the way he found when required making it a dominant win. Today he gets a cold draw with J Mac aboard and without a lot of speed on paper he should stalk the leaders and be ready to pounce.
RACE 6 NO.6 WOKURNA
I didn’t think much of this gelding WOKURNA at the trial or at his first start but gee I think he has taken some big steps at each outing. Its only his fourth start today having won his previous two and from an ideal gate where he and jockey James McDonald can take control of the race by leading or if Another Snappy or Appoint Percy wish to go mad he can sit on them by either way he gets a nice run and will be hard to beat.
