Manuel produces shock result in Orr Stakes

The Tony McEvoy-trained Manuel has upstaged his higher-profile rivals to win the Group One C F Orr Stakes at Caulfield.

Making all the running from an inside draw, Manuel held off established Group One sprinter-milers Kementari and Land Of Plenty who dead-heated for second placing.

The Orr Stakes is the first Group One in Australia for 2019.
