Import Cape Of Good Hope has made an instant impression on Australian soil, winning the Group One Caulfield Stakes.

Moved from champion Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien to David Hayes’s Lindsay Park stable for the spring carnival, Cape Of Good Hope narrowly defeated Black Heart Bart in the weight-for-age race.

Cape Of Good Hope was a Listed winner in England in April and arrived in Australia after a two-start United States campaign.
