Neasham and Archibald form training partnership

Annabel Neasham’s name will no longer appear solo in the form guide with the top Sydney trainer to team up with Rob Archibald.

Neasham announced on Wednesday that pair would form a training partnership from Thursday’s commencement of the 2024/25 season.

The well-travelled Archibald has been Neasham’s racing manager for the past two years and a partnership was considered the obvious progression.

“Forming a partnership with Rob was the next logical step for our business,” Neasham said.

“As we continue to grow and operate across multiple states, Rob’s expertise will be crucial in maintaining a hands-on approach to training, as well as playing a fundamental role in managing our team of horses and staff.

“Rob has built an excellent rapport with our owners and is committed to achieving outstanding results for our clients.”

Prior to joining Neasham, Archibald was racing manager at Coolmore Australia, having previously spent time in the UK with Hugo Palmer and David Simcock, where he was assistant trainer.

Neasham has risen to become one of the young stars of Australia’s training ranks, winning multiple feature races with the now-retired $11m-earner Zaaki, while she enjoyed Group 1 success this season with Lady Laguna (Canterbury Stakes) and Bois D’Argent (Doomben Cup).

Neasham and Archibald’s first runners will be at Hawkesbury at Cranbourne on Thursday, while they have metro runners at Rosehill, Flemington and Doomben on Saturday.
