HIGH BRIDGE looks the good thing on the card to me coming here off a solid effort in the group 1 Metropolitan handicap when beaten a length and a half. That was only his third start in Australia having come here as a former European hurdler. I doubt the sting out of the track will pose any problems and with that run under his belt he should be cherry ripe for this event.
RACE 9 NO.5 RIGHT OR WRONG
RIGHT OR WRONG drew gate one last start and I thought he would tuck in behind the leaders and enjoy a cost run instead he settled down last. His effort to finish second beaten a length and a half was super and the step to 1400m here looks ideal. This 7yo had two and a half years off the racing scene but since returning he is building a good reputation. The sting out of the surface at Randwick I think will aid him and from a good gate he will settle closer than last start and I think be hard to hold out.
