CrownBet Bookie report – Sunshine Coast 28 January 2017

Race 1 – SAN TELMO $2.20, won from FRIGHTENING BOLT, MAGNATUNE

Punters started nicely with the well supported favourite San Telmo scoring in the first race, where he was always the standout horse around the $2.20 mark. Runner up Frightening Bolt was a drifter opening at $13 to jump at $23.

Race 2 – AHNDRAS $5.50, won from CRACK ME UP, PILLARA

Toby Edmonds and Jeff Lloyd partnered to win the second with Ahndras, who had supporters to win at $4.60. Crack Me Up was well supported from $4.60 into $2.70 to finish second. Fourth placed Doubt Defying opened at $5.50 but was steadily eased to start at $8.50.

Race 3 – SAHARA SIREN $13, won from HESITATION, SHOTACROSS THE BOW

Sahara Siren drifted from $13 out $17 and then found support to come back into $13 to win. The Amateur $4.80 into $3.40 was well supported but could only manage to finish tenth. Cornrow was always in consideration, however did ease from $2.70 out to $3.40 to finish just off them in fourth place.

Race 4 – SNITZKRAFT $1.50, won from MAKE MY OWN LUCK, LADY LARK

Hot favourite Snitzkraft was far too good for his rivals to score at $1.60. Make My Own Luck had support from $4.60 into $3.40 to finish second. No other significant activity as punters had isolated as a race with two chances.

Race 5 – SECRET MO $6, won from THE AMBASSADORE, I REMEMBER YOU

Secret Mo had some good support from the opening quote of $11 to steadily come in to $6. The Ambassadore had admirers coming from $4.80 touching as short as $3.20 and then jumping at $3.80. Third placed I Remember You was supported from $16 into $11.

Race 6 – ARKI $4.60, won from BLACKJACK BELLA, BLUE LION

Arki was always in consideration moving from around the $4 mark to score at $4.60. Blue Lion was the best supported runner to finish third, touching $15 to then be supported into $6 at the jump. Favourite Sentimental Prince eased from $2.30 out to $3.40.

Race 7 – SIR MOMENTS $7, won from FLAMBOYER, IN HIS STRIDE

Damian Browne grabbed the prize in the feature aboard Sir Moments who was supported early from $7.50 into $5.50 before drifting again to jump at $7.50 in a good betting race. Runner up Flamboyer was the best supported runner from $21 into $9 to just miss and grab second.  Steel Zip had nice support at odds to come from $31 into $17.00 to run a nice race but just miss the placings for fourth. Sold For Song and Jumbo Prince both enjoyed good support but failed to have an impact on the race.

Race 8 – OBERLAND $9, won from OUR LADY MAC, IRISH CONSTABULARY

Oberland was around the $8 mark before easing late to score at $10.00. Murt The Flirt was the best supported runner from $5 to jump at $4.40. Notonyourlife also enjoyed support from $14 into $9.50. Third placed Irish Constabulary was $6 into $4.80.
